Manitowish Waters 14006 Discovery Lane, Manitowish Waters

Enjoy an evening snowshoe hike on the Discovery Center's one-mile snowshoe trail with beautifully lit luminaries illuminating the path. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow ours for $3/pair (limited quantities available). Join us for hot chocolate, s'mores, and a bonfire following your hike! $6 per person. Plum Lake Historical and Naturalist Hike

North Lakeland Discovery Center 14006 Discovery Lane, Manitowish Waters

Join local historian Jim Bokern and a Discovery Center Naturalist on a fascinating hike through history in the Plum Lake Hemlocks Forest State Natural Area. We will explore the Milwaukee Road Railroad, state leased land and the people that lived in this area over a century ago and walk in their footsteps. This is an off trail, moderately strenuous 4-5 mile hike with one wetland crossing.
