The Three Bear Sled Dog Races bring sled dog racing to Land O’ Lakes. The races are a lot of fun for the dogs, spectators and mushers alike. Racers compete for cash prizes in various classes on a course just south of town. It’s an event that’s fun for people of all ages – there are family games. The fun starts at Town Hall Grounds – don’t miss out on this unique event!

The Gateway Lodge, Restaurant, and Lounge along with the Three Bear Sled Dog committee invite you to enjoy an evening of great music and dancing in conjunction with the Three Bear Sled Dog Races. Music will be provided by the popular band, "Sons of Legend". There is no cover charge and this is a great opportunity for Three Bear Sled Dog Race spectators to mingle with some of the racers.

Two days twice a year, families and friends can enjoy one of Michigan's premier outdoor activities, Michigan Fishing, for FREE! All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply. A Recreation Passport will NOT be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during Free Fishing Weekends.

Winter fun for everyone! Cold weather enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides, Giant Ski Races, Recliner Races, Ice Bowling, Slap Shot Hockey, Firefighter Competitions and the Artisan Bazaar. Kids will revel in the Dogsled Dash, Chilly Charlie’s Challenge, Pin the Nose on the Snowman, Ring Toss, Snowman Pong and Mosaic Snow Art. Demonstrations in Archery, Snowshoeing and more will be held throughout the day. Food and refreshments available all day as well as beer at the popular “Snow Bar”. Warming fires and heated restrooms on site. Proceeds benefit area Fire & EMS Departments.

Every year, hundreds gather on Mamie Lake at Bent's Camp Resort. This event is a fundraiser for the Frosty Snowmobile Club, who maintain the snowmobile trails in the Land O' Lakes area. There are race classes for all snowmobile enthusiasts and the day ends with the famous Bikini Run! Registration begins at 11:00 am.

March is Youth Art Month. Land O' Lakes Area Artisans is displaying local student artwork in their gallery from March 9th through March 24, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. On Saturday, March 19 they will be hosting a reception for the artists and the public.

18 hole double Disc Golf Tournament. Proceeds benefit pediatric brain tumor research. Sponsored by the Callie Rohr Foundation, Inc. and Rohr's Wilderness Tours.

Local veterans take the floor as your hosts at the Pine Cone Café. All tips and donations, as well as a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Veterans Center of Land O' Lakes. There is also a 50/50 raffle sponsored by the Veterans Center of Land O' Lakes.

Get your gear and start fishing during Wisconsin's Winter Free Fishing Weekend. This event is a great time to discover the fun and excitement of fishing without a license or trout stamp. Anglers can fish all water bodies in the state where there is an open season. All other fishing regulations apply, such as limits on the number and size of fish you can keep and any seasons when you must release certain fish species. Need gear? Michigan residents and nonresidents can grab a fishing rod, ride the off-road trails and visit state parks and boating access sites - all free of charge. During Free ORV Weekend, Michigan residents and visitors legally can ride without buying an ORV license or trail permit. All other ORV rules and laws still apply. All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply.

Located on the Land O’ Lakes trail between the pavilion and the Northern Waters Museum, a Sound Garden with music, poetry, and artwork with connections to the outdoor space and Land O’ Lakes will be open for the public to experience.
